The Apollo, some comments
As I have written i two articles, I have tried the Apollo, but only for
2 very short runs due to low temperature and strong winds. I live in
Denmark
I can´t state anything regarding planing ability yet, but I noticed a
significant lack of boyancy in the front of the board.
A good friend of mine, sent me these photos, that in my mind, clearly
shows my point.

Comming ashore after my first run. It was cold. The sail is a NP
RS Slalom 9,2
Notice how deep it flows. Starboard states a volumen of 150 liters,
I hope they are right? |

On the Starboard forum, I stated that tacks had to be done very
fast. Look at the picture, at you will se why. |

This is the same picture as above. Notice my foot placment, just
behind the mast. Imagine a foot in front of the mast......you then got
a sub. :-) |

friend of mine
As I said, it was a very short run, therefore I have no further comments
regarding planing ability.
Just as an info, I have sailed and owned serveral raceboards, like the
Star 147, Star 159, Star 175, F2 formula, Starboard F- Type 158 and the
Bic Techno Formula. None of these had the same lack of bounacy in the
front, not even the Star 147. The comments are just ment as an info, so
far there has been very silient on comments regarding the Apollo. More
Photos taken by me here
